Haltom City Fire-Rescue, under the direction of the Deputy Chief of Services, and the coordination of the Deputy Chief of Operations, perform annual fire and life safety inspections of commercial faciities which include schools, churches, assisted living, day care facilities and all other facilities not defined as a single or two family dwelling.
The purpose of the annual inspection is to regulate and govern the safeguarding of life and property from fire and explosion hazards arising from the storage, handling and use of hazardous substances, materials and devices, and from conditions hazardous to life
or property in the occupancy of buildings and premises.
Approximately 1340 commercial inspections will be performed this year.
